Silvia Surrenti, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor of Urban and Health Studies in the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine. She is a member of the Health Services Research Centre, University of Florence, Italy. She holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the European University Institute of Florence. Her interests lie at the interface of environmental studies, digital technologies, health and wellbeing studies. Her works include a book on the social relational space-time of the contemporary hospital (L’ospedale difficile. Lo spazio sociale della cura e della salute, 2014, with L. Chiesi) and a book on the hospital and city-life (L’ospedale, la città e la rivincita dell’esperienza, 2020).
